Your Picsello account allows you to enable taxes by via Picsello or your Stripe Account. Stripe Tax’s automatic tax calculation feature can help calculate taxes during checkout for payments received in Picsello. However, we have had photographers struggle with the lack of transparency, reliability, flexibility, and simplicity in using Stripe Tax so we do recommend Collecting Taxes via Picsello if you run into any issues.

Regardless of which option you choose, we recommend you work with a certified CPA to understand tax laws and regulations applicable to photographers in your area, including sales tax, income tax, and any other relevant taxes. For additional information, you can also read:

Step 1:

Log in to Picsello and click Settings from the navigation bar, then click Finances.

Step 2:

Click Go to Stripe. Here you will be redirected to Stripe.

Step 3:

In Stripe, click More from the Stripe navigation bar and select Tax from the drop-down menu.

Step 4:

Confirm or update the origin address of where your business is located.

Step 5:

Select a Default product tax category.

Step 6:

Add the countries and states where you're registered to collect tax.

Step 7:

Confirm that automatic tax calculation is enabled to complete the setup; this is the default you should see in your account.
