Common issues with clients and payments.

Issue: Stripe button is not working for my client

"My client said that they can't connect to Stripe to make their online payment."

Why:

This happens when Stripe is in need of additional information for your account, preventing the AfterPay integrations from working.

What you can do:

  • Head to the Payments section in your Picello account settings and disable all of the Buy Now, Pay Later payment options

  • After disabling all Buy Now, Pay Later options, copy the Client Payment and Booking Proposal link into a new screen to verify if Stripe is working again.

    • Select "Pay Online" to test that the client will be able to connect to Stripe

    • Note, that you will not be completing the payment and simply verifying that the connectivity to Stripe has been restored and the client can proceed with payment.

  • Log into your Stripe account to verify if there is any outstanding information they need for your account.

  • Send us a message in-app if you need further assistance clarifying what is needed from Stripe.
